Jeffrey Crannick Named Assistant Utility Director

Please join us in welcoming Jeffrey Crannick to our team!

Jeffrey was hired on December 30, 2019, to take over the reins of Assistant Utility Director upon the retirement of Willy Wilfong.

Jeffrey grew up in northern Bloomsdale. He graduated from Festus High School in 1983. Upon graduation, he joined the US Air Force where he served for 22 years. During his tenure in the Air Force, Jeffrey worked with utilities. At each of his first three bases and throughout his time in the service, he worked with water and wastewater treatment, water collections, maintenance, and much more.

After retiring from the Air Force, Jeffrey worked in plant management for 9 years before accepting a position with DNR where he taught wastewater certification classes and did technical utility assistance in the St. Louis region.

Jeffrey says he really enjoys doing fieldwork, but feels fortunate to have been hired to the position of Assistant Utilities Director here in Park Hills. He's looking forward to helping our city make many much-needed improvements to our water and wastewater systems.

Jeffrey is married to his wife of almost 33 years, Yong Hui. They have two children, Jeffrey Jr., age 30, and Ashley age 26. In his time away from work Jeffrey and his wife thoroughly enjoy spending time with taking care of their three dogs, (also known as their 3 additional kids). Another interesting factoid - Jeffrey also enjoys raises pigeons and at one time used to race them competitively.

We are excited to have Jeffrey as the newest member of our City family and are looking forward to seeing great things he does for our utility department! Welcome aboard, Jeffrey!
